Wash Basin Fixing Kit

Wash Basins can be upwards of 25Kgs so securing a decent fixing is necessary.

Traditionally installing a bathroom sink or more correctly a ‘Washbasin’ was generally on top of a full pedestal with two simple screws securing the basin to the wall to basically stop it falling forward.

The modern trend has now changed and wall hung basins are preferred not only being aesthetically pleasing but being more hygienic and space saving.

The problem comes with installing a basin that can be upwards of 25Kgs on the wall alone. No longer can this weight be supported by a full floor standing pedestal so SinkFix® was designed to spread the load and also offer multiple fixing choices to obtain the strongest possible fixing to any substrate.

It really is the best sanitary fixing on the market for wall hung basins with or without semi-pedestals and you can now buy it direct from the manufacturer.

Included in SinkFix® Original is a protective sound dampening IXPE foam sheet FREE OF CHARGE.

The sinkfix is a brilliant product! Only had plasterboard walls and needed to fit a wall hung basin. Saved so much time and hassle, was easy to fix as I could get a good secure fix using the multiple fixing points! Highly recommend. Will definitely be using again.

FAQs

The difference between a sink and a wash basin depends on whereabout they’re installed. A wash basin is installed in the bathroom and a sink is installed in the kitchen. While people in the trades know this, a lot of non-tradespeople call them sinks, that’s why we use both terms on the website.

We specialise in sanitary fixings especially for wall hung basin installations including our 5 Star reviewed SinkFix plate, ideal for solid and plasterboard walls and our SinkFix Direct screw-bolts which are similar to existing basin fixing products on the market however as they do not require a plastic wall plug for installation, only an 8mm drill bit and hole is required as they drive directly into brick and block.

Yes, we are introducing a non-sanitary fixing which again will be unique on the market, coming soon.
